Up!

Well today we took the kids to the movies. John took the older kids and Nikolas to see the new Transformers which left me to find something to take Ella to so she didn't feel left out. Only thing playing at that time was UP. Ok, another Disney movie! Why are Disney movies so sad? Yet as sad as it was, I have to say I really enjoyed it. It was really food for thought!

For those of you that haven't seen it, stop reading now. Anyway within 15 minutes I felt tears rolling down my face. Maybe it was because John and I met when we were so young. Maybe it's the thought of growing older and knowing that at some point, one of us is going to be left behind. I think everyone goes through life wishing they had done this or done that, but is it really all the big things you do in life that count or the little things you do for each other each and every day? I can't help but keep thinking about the parts of the movie that were so sad, yet so true.

Dentist, Fun Dip and Other Things

Well the kids had dentist appointments on Tuesday. I feel like I live at the dentist anymore. There was a house next door for sale recently and I thought, gosh, how easy would that be!? Nikolas and Gabriella had check ups and cleanings and Victoria went for sealants. The dentist must be high on her laughing gas because she thinks my kids are so polite and well behaved. Ok, they are good when we take them out, I admit but sometimes at home, well!? So we are there and we are waiting for the dentist to do the check up after the cleaning and Gabriella was sitting so patiently in the chair, she actually amazed me! Nikolas was so cute and he told her "Gabriella, you are being a very good patient!" Then he proceeded to say that because she was so good, she was going to get sprayed with the hose! The dentist started laughing! I said to her, I hope you don't advertise that! If you are a good patient, WE spray you with the hose! Well those two have a bit of an obsession with being sprayed with the hose right now. Yes, I have that big pool in the backyard and yet they prefer to be sprayed with the hose! Go figure!

Which brings me to the Fun Dip. Do you remember Fun Dip? You get those two vanilla flavored sticks and LOTS of colored/flavored sugar! Well whatever possessed me to buy Fun Dip? I don't know...maybe one of my moments of insanity! Well I bought it for the older kids actually. Gabriella wanted some so John gave it to her. She managed to eat one of those little packets of sugar. Luckily it was only the one! Well she was bouncing around all night! It made her crazy! I can assure you this, next time he considers giving her one of those, you are going to see a Fun Stick, sticking out of someone's A$$!

So the nice weather has finally arrived! YAY! It's supposed to be near 90 today! Now this is what I call summer! I just finished helping the girls clean their bedroom. We are going to have lunch in a bit and then we are heading outside for the afternoon. If we are really lucky, someone might actually get sprayed with the hose today!

Oh Victoria's computer came this morning! She's thrilled! The wait felt like forever for her even though it really hasn't been! I ordered it the morning after her birthday. It's a pretty pink computer because it had to be pink! I guess pink computers work better!?

Well enough of this for now! Speaking of computers, it's too nice to be on this one today! Time to head out and enjoy this beautiful, sunny, warm day!

BLONDIE!!!!!

Oh I know what I forgot to post!

I am going to see Blondie in August!!! I am super excited! I never do anything like this for myself but I decided I am going to do it! I ordered the tickets and I am so excited about going!
If there was one group/person I would choose first to see in concert, it would be Blondie! I saw KISS years ago, but Blondie is my all time favorite! I have been listening to them since I have been like 9 yrs old! I have them on my Ipod and CD's in my car! Gabriella at age 3 can sing most of their songs! I don't want to rush the summer along, but at the same time I just can't wait til August!

It's Been a While

It's been quite a while since I posted. I feel like there are so many things to do and so little time anymore. We finished up with school. It was kind of a bittersweet feeling. I enjoyed having the kids home with me these past two yrs but at the same time I do know it is important they go out and form friendships etc. This is going to be a tough yr with Nikolas going off to kindergarten. Dropping them off at St. Stan's was just different. They knew kids already, I knew the principal, but I keep telling myself lots of other kids do this and everything will be OK.

Oh gosh, where do I start. First of all everyone is feeling fine! I know last time I started posting that Nikolas got sick, then I got it and Ella and on and on....we are all now and have been healthy for a while now.

Ok, Victoria turned 13 yrs old. I can't believe it! Another teenager in the house! John and I are getting so old! We had a small family party with her. I got her a cake with a horse on it. She really seems to be into horses now. We gave her money and with all the money she accumulated she had enough to buy her mini laptop. We ordered one the very next morning and it should actually be shipping today. She wanted a pink one and that is what she got! Oh and want to talk about big spenders? Dominic actually put $50 in a card for her! Wow, what a great big brother. For so many yrs I thought those two were going to be the worst of enemies and now they are the best of friends...most times that is good, sometimes not so good!

Summer is here but it certainly hasn't felt like it. It's been raining most of the time and the temps have been terrible! The south is looking better and better to us every day! Maybe one day!

Dominic got a job at the stadium and seems to really like it. He has met a lot of nice kids there too! He's been saving a lot of his money so I have been happy to see that too! It's a great first job! He works, yet he has 8 or 9 days off in a row to just be a kid, so that is pretty cool!

Gabriella has been a holy terror lately! Forget the terrible two's it's the trying three's! That kid has so much energy! Yesterday I was taking a bath and she managed to get into the bathroom and dump a plastic container of Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars all over me! The thing is I jumped up but it didn't phase her at all! She's so spunky though and she has the most adorable smile!

Well I guess that is it for now. I have so much to write but I have so many things to do here too. I am going to try to get so much better with keeping up. I did this so I would be able to look back and remind myself of things I might forget daily, but of course I forgot to post on here too!
I am going to be better this time around though! :)
